These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Carevela mobile app and related services (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization or another person, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.

Use of the App

Carevela is intended to help caregivers coordinate medication schedules, reminders, care groups, and related activity. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Medical Disclaimer

Carevela is not a medical device, not a healthcare provider, and does not provide medical advice. The App is for informational and organizational support only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.

Do not use the App as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you enter and share through the App. This includes ensuring medication names, dosages, schedules, patient details, and caregiver information are accurate and up to date.

  • You should verify medication instructions with a qualified healthcare professional.
  • You should not rely solely on the App for critical medication decisions.

Care Groups and Shared Access

The App may allow you to create or join care groups and share access to schedules, logs, and updates with other caregivers. You are responsible for:

  • Inviting the correct people and managing shared access settings.
  • Understanding that other caregivers may view or add information based on permissions.
  • Ensuring you have the right to share any information you add to a care group.

Notifications and Reminders

The App may send reminders and push notifications for medication schedules and care group updates.

  • Notifications may fail, be delayed, or depend on device settings, permissions, battery saver modes, and internet connectivity.
  • You agree that you will not rely on notifications as your only method for time-sensitive or critical medication actions.

Subscriptions and Payments

Carevela may offer paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future. If enabled, pricing, billing terms, renewal terms, and cancellation instructions will be provided within the App and/or the applicable app store listing. Subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchases. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Account Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the App, users, or third parties.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carevela and its developer/company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from or related to your use of the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice within the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
